The first festival of family, love and fidelity will be held at the church in Malinovkatranslated

On July 12, the first Festival of Family, Love and Fidelity will take place on the territory of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Malinovka. Guests will enjoy a concert and interactive program, a fair, master classes, refreshments and celebrations for large families and married couples.

The celebration will begin at 15:00. Historical quests, a craft settlement with master classes, horse riding, a performance by the fairy tale studio “Bird”, round dances with the “Round Dances of Russia” movement and an evening open-air guitar concert were prepared for the participants.

Guests will be treated to Russian cuisine, tea from 19th-century samovars and gingerbread. During the festival, a mobile medical examination complex will operate in the church parking lot as part of the “Good to the Village” project.

An important part of the holiday will be the honoring of large families and married couples who have been married for more than 25 years.

Sounds like a full day—those samovar teas and horse rides caught my eye. We'll try to make it from Dallas with our parish group if the flights line up. Does anyone know if they need extra hands at the ремесленная слобода?

Samovar tea and those old XIX-century ones sound perfect — I always bring my own thermos just in case. If you do fly in from Dallas, the ремесленная слобода could definitely use extra hands for the simple things like cutting felt for the kids’ crafts. Are you any good with scissors?

If your group does make the trip from Dallas, let the organizers know ahead of time about helping in the ремесленная слобода — they’re still short a couple of people for the afternoon shifts. Yes, the horse rides are a proper treat after the crafts get messy — my granddaughter came home with glue in her hair last time. We did help at the felt station last week, it was chaos but the kids loved it. Are you planning to try the old samovar tea this time?
