In order to finance the purchase of a church, the Romanians from Donauwörth learn community management and fundraisingtranslated

The Orthodox Parish "St. Trinity, St. Cuv. Teodora de la Sihla" and "St. Mc. Afra" in Donauwörth, Germany, received from the Department for Romanians Everywhere (DRP) an aid of 1.2 million lei for the purchase of its own church. But the community takes responsibility to ensure the sustainability of the financial effort through its own forces.

Thus, at least three people from the community will be trained to responsibly manage resources, develop projects, attract funding and maintain community activities. For the church acquisition to be sustainable in the long term, the parish needs a team capable of accomplishing these things.

Until October 15, 2026, community members who show desire and skills will participate in workshops in which funding alternatives for parish projects, methods of accessing them and the development of resource-generating events will be presented. The targeted areas are: sustainability, community management, fundraising, communication and event organization.
