The pilgrimage from Bucharest: Man is realized only in communion with God and with his fellow men, says Patriarch Danieltranslated

"The saints help us to fulfill the call that man received from the beginning of the world, when Adam and Eve were created in the image of God, but the project was also according to likeness," said Father Patriarch Daniel on Tuesday, at the end of the Liturgy celebrated for the autumn dedication of the Patriarchal Cathedral.
"God said: Let us make man in Our image and likeness," Father Patriarch Daniel recalled. This shows that "we are created in the image of the Holy Trinity, in the image of an eternal communion of life and love. That is why man is a communal being, who is realized only in communion with God and fellow men."
"All people are created in the image of God, that is, they are persons endowed with reason, free will and feeling or ability to love. But only those who worked with God, who worked together with the grace of the Holy Spirit, reached the likeness of God", His Beatitude continued. "The saints are those who have attained the likeness of God."
