The Vânători-Neamț Monastic Cultural Landscape takes a new step towards inclusion in the UNESCO heritagetranslated

Representatives of the Parliamentary Commission for the relationship with UNESCO, the Church, heritage institutions and local authorities met on Friday to analyze the status of the candidacy of the Vânători-Neamț Monastic Cultural Landscape for UNESCO world heritage and the next stages of the project
The working meeting, hosted in the Throne Hall of the Neamț Citadel, brought together members of the Joint Permanent Commission of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate for the relationship with UNESCO, representatives of the National Heritage Institute, the Ministry of National Defense, the local and county administration, as well as specialists involved in the preparation of the application file.
The Monahal Vânători-Neamț Cultural Landscape overlaps the Vânători Neamț Natural Park, a site of approximately 30,000 hectares designated a protected area in 1999 and which includes two Natura 2000 sites.
