In the program, the archpastor shared the life story of Father John, who was ordained to the priesthood at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War and carried out his ministry in the village of Khorostovo. The priest tried to support his fellow countrymen in enduring the hardships of the war; he was one of the first to bless his sons to join the partisans and accepted martyrdom along with his parishioners in his native church during the punitive German operation.
