Patriarch Teoctistus was commemorated by the clergy of his native landtranslated

The priests of the Missionary Circle "Patriarch Teoctist" of the Stăuceni Botošan commune prayed on Thursday for the soul of the worthy of remembrance Patriarch Teoctist in the church in the village of Victoria of the commune, foundation of the former Primate of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

The liturgy was followed by Parastas, and later the clergy also went to the Memorial House in Tocileni, the native village of Patriarch Teoctist, where Father Petru Fercal, dean of Botoșani, officiated a Parastas together with the cathedral.

The liturgical responses were given by the choir of the "St. John the Baptist" Parish in Botoșani, directed by Prof. Gheorghe Bulboacă.

The event was attended by the mayor Cozmin Epuraș of the commune of Stăuceni, Prof. Rodica Grindei, the director of High School No. 1 from Stăuceni, and numerous believers from the community and the country.
