His Holiness Father Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, sent a message on the occasion of the XIth Congress of Orthodox Theological Faculties of the Romanian Patriarchate, held from November 1-4, 2026 at Brâncoveanu Monastery – Sâmbăta de Sus in Brașov County.

" We appreciate the organization of the XIth edition of the Congress of Theological Faculties of the Romanian Patriarchate at Brâncoveanu Monastery – Sâmbăta de Sus, the seat of Saint Voievod Martyr Constantine Brâncoveanu, whose family represents a glorious witness to how sanctity blossoms into sanctity," transmitted Romanian Patriarch Daniel.

"The chosen theme, The pastoral care of families – priority of theological education, is, in turn, relevant and timely, indicating the orientation of theological research towards the pastoral and missionary activity of the Church, being necessary for the assumption and valorization of the ecclesial consciousness of theology and the affirmation of the link between theological reflection and ecclesial experience," added His Holiness.
