Patriarch Daniel: St. Demetrius the New and St. Elisabeth of the Bird call us to the sanctification of lifetranslated

On Saturday, at the outer altar of the Patriarchal Cathedral, the Blessed Father Patriarch Daniel welcomed the participants in the Procession of the Way of the Saints with a word entitled: "Saint Pious Demetrius the New and Saint Pious Elizabeth of the Bird call us to the sanctification of life through prayer and merciful love".

His Beatitude noted that many families, parents with their children, grandparents with their children and grandchildren come to worship during the annual pilgrimage to the reliquary with the relics of Saint Demetrius the New, the Patron Saint of Bucharest.

"For children and young people, these days of pilgrimage can become bright memories, which will strengthen their love for God and for His saints in years to come", emphasized the Patriarch of Romania.
