Patriarch Daniel at the end of the Procession of Light from ITO 2026: It was a pilgrimage of joy and peacetranslated

"Dear young people, we thank you for the beautiful Procession of Lights that you made this evening, from the National Cathedral to the historic Patriarchal Cathedral. It was a pilgrimage of joy and peace," said His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel on Wednesday evening to the young participants of the International Meeting of Orthodox Youth (ITO) 2026, who traveled the said route in the procession.

The procession and the moment of prayer at the historic Patriarchal Cathedral were attended by young people and several hierarchs: Bishops Agatonic of Arusha and Central Tanzania (Patriarchy of Alexandria and All Africa) and Macarie of Northern Europe, Patriarchal Vicar Bishops Varlaam Ploieșteanul and Paisie Sinaitul and Vicar Bishop Timotei Prahoveanul of the Archdiocese of Bucharest.
