Patriarch Kirill thanked Vladimir Putin for his constant attention to the service of the Churchtranslated

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on his birthday, noting the head of state’s constant attention to the diverse ministry of the Russian Orthodox Church.

In his congratulations, the Primate noted that as President of Russia, Vladimir Putin has been “consistently and effectively” solving various problems for many years “aimed at strengthening Russian statehood and the economy, protecting traditional moral and family values, preserving historical, spiritual and cultural heritage, and ensuring a prosperous life for people.”

“All this finds a living response in the hearts of millions of fellow citizens, who see in you a national leader, setting an example of selfless and devoted service to the Fatherland,” His Holiness emphasized.

At the same time, Patriarch Kirill especially noted the “high level of church-state relations,” expressing sincere gratitude to the head of Russia “for his constant attention to the diverse activities of the Russian Orthodox Church.”
