Patriarch Kirill consecrated the restored church and founded another one in the ancient monastery of Suzdaltranslated

On September 27, 2026, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill consecrated the restored Sretensky Church, and also founded another one in the ancient Deposition of the Robe convent in the city of Suzdal, Vladimir region.

In the co-service of Metropolitan Nikandr of Vladimir and Suzdal, other archpastors and clergy, the Primate of the Church consecrated the Sretensky Church with a great rite, and then led the Liturgy there, the website Patriarchy.ru reports.

In particular, three thrones were consecrated: the Central one - in honor of the Presentation of the Lord, the right one - in honor of the blessed prince Alexander Nevsky, the left one - in honor of the great martyr and healer Panteleimon.

After the service, Metropolitan Nikandr of Vladimir and Suzdal presented His Holiness with the “Suzdal” icon of the Mother of God, made by local craftsmen.

For his part, the High Hierarch donated the Tabynskaya Icon of the Mother of God to the monastery, and the Passion Gospels for the churches of the Vladimir Metropolis. Metropolitan Nikandr of Vladimir was presented with a memorial cross and panagia.
