Patriarch Porfirije receives Birthday wishes from across the Orthodox World and beyond

The Serbian Patriarchate announced that numerous birthday greetings from Serbia and abroad have been received at the Office of Patriarch Porfirije on the occasion of the Primate’s 65th birthday.

According to the Patriarchate, the well-wishes came from the primates and senior hierarchs of the Local Orthodox Churches, high-ranking state officials, representatives of the cultural, academic, and public spheres, as well as numerous clergy and monastics of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

The Patriarchate noted that the greatest number of messages came from the faithful Orthodox Serbian people, who expressed their devotion and loyalty to their Patriarch through heartfelt prayers and best wishes. The faithful prayed that the Lord would grant him many more years of blessed ministry in the service of the Church and the Serbian people.

In response to the greetings and prayers, the Patriarchate said that Patriarch Porfirije expressed his gratitude to all those who remembered his birthday. His Holiness, it added, returned their good wishes with his archpastoral blessing, invoking upon all his well-wishers the gifts of peace, unity, and the love of Christ.
