Patriarch of Serbia sent birthday wishes to Metropolitan Onufriy

Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia has extended his congratulations to Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv, Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), on the occasion of his 82nd birthday, both personally and on behalf of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

In his message, published on November 6, 2026, Patriarch Porfirije wished Metropolitan Onufriy good health, peace, and strength to continue his pastoral ministry with zeal and courage in what he described as the “long-suffering Ukrainian Orthodox Church.”

“May you be strengthened in this struggle by the prayers of all the saints who have shone forth in the land of Ukraine, as well as by the entire Church of Christ, both militant and triumphant,” the Serbian Patriarch stated.

Patriarch Porfirije also expressed his brotherly love for the clergy and faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

He concluded his message with the traditional greeting: “Many blessed years, Your Beatitude!”
