Patriarch of Serbia concluded his visit to Australia at the Church of St. Prince Lazar in Sydney

“It has never been easy to sit on the throne of the Patriarch of Serbia, the throne of Saint Sava, and to serve our Holy Church and the Serbian people. That is why today we offer prayers to the Lord, knowing that His help is indispensable to you, just as it was to all your predecessors,” said Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Miodrag Perić, rector of the Church of St Prince Lazar in Alexandria, Sydney, as he warmly welcomed Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia. The visit to this church concluded the canonical visit of the Serbian Primate to Australia.
“With all our hearts, we wish and beseech the Lord and God to grant you bodily strength and spiritual joy, so that you may withstand all the assaults of the adversary’s stormy winds, shepherd your flock, and steer the ship of our Church with wisdom between the Symplegades and Charybdis of the trials of this world,” said Fr Miodrag Perić. He also thanked Patriarch Porfirije, the hierarchs present, and the clergy for their prayers and for the joy their visit brought.
“Your Holiness, you have honoured us greatly and filled us with joy. You have encouraged and strengthened us for new endeavours, and you have bestowed a great blessing upon this…
