Patriarch of Moscow congratulates Patriarch of Serbia on significant anniversaries

Patriarch Kirill of Moscow addressed a congratulatory message to Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia, in which, among other things, he stated:

“I warmly congratulate you on the fortieth anniversary of your monastic tonsure and your ordination to the sacred ministry. Strengthened by the power of the Life-Giving Spirit, you have long labored, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ (2 Tim. 2:3), in service to Him, strengthening countless people in the faith of the Holy Fathers. Having devoted many years of diligent service to the Lord in your episcopal ministry, you humbly accepted your election to the Patriarchal Throne of the Serbian Orthodox Church, for whose good order and flourishing you now labor with zeal and a profound sense of responsibility. On this solemn day, I prayerfully wish Your Holiness robust health and the unfailing help of God in your exalted primatial ministry.”
