Patriarch of Antioch received Bishop Paul Orduloğlu and the President of the Samandaǧ Association

Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East received Bishop Paul Orduloğlu and Mr. Cem Akgül, President of the Samandağ Association, at the Patriarchate in Damascus.

Bishop Paul and the Association President briefed Patriarch John on the stages of restoration of St. Elias Church in Samandaǧ following the 2023 earthquake, as well as on the living conditions in the region.

In his address to the delegation, the Patriarch emphasized the Antiochian Church’s pride in the vibrant Antiochian presence in Turkey, emphasizing that the Church of Antioch strives, with all available means, to stand by her children wherever they may be and under all circumstances.
