Patriarch of Antioch highlights Lebanon’s role as a ‘message’ to the East and the world

Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East highlighted Lebanon’s role as a “country of message” in the Middle East and the wider world during a reception at the Lebanese Embassy in Italy on September 14.
The reception for the Patriarch and his accompanying delegation was hosted by Lebanon’s Ambassador to Italy, Carla Jazzar.
During the gathering, Patriarch John praised the role of Lebanon’s state institutions in strengthening stability and called for an end to the ongoing attacks in the south of the country.
For her part, Ambassador Jazzar expressed her pleasure at welcoming the Patriarch and praised his positions, as well as the role played by the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch in the Middle East and internationally.
A number of ambassadors also attended the reception alongside Patriarch John and his delegation.
