The pilgrimage center of the Vyborg diocese organized the “Faces of Abkhazia” triptranslated

At the end of June, the Pilgrimage Center of the Vyborg Diocese organized a pilgrimage trip “Faces of Abkhazia” to the shrines and cultural and historical monuments of ancient Apsny - the “land of the soul”. The spiritual care of the group was provided by the head of the Missionary Department of the Vyborg Diocese, Priest Mikhail Kotov.

The trip participants visited ancient churches and monasteries, visited healing springs and took part in celebrations dedicated to the 2510th anniversary of Sukhum.

The cultural program included visits to theaters, museums and a botanical garden. The busy itinerary also included time for relaxation at sea.

The pilgrimage center of the Vyborg diocese invites those who wish to join the “Faces of Abkhazia” trip during the velvet season - in September 2026.

Цікаво, що вони поєднали паломництво з театрами і ботанічним садом. А 2510-річчя Сухума — це ж треба було таке придумати для дати. Хто їздив у червні, розкажіть, як там з джерелами і морем було?

Интересно, что они и театры с ботсадом включили, а не только храмы. А 2510 лет Сухуму — это правда такая круглая дата или просто повод? Кто ездил в июне, правда ли источники целебные и как море было в это время?

Oui, c’est bien vu, ils ont vraiment mélangé le spirituel et le repos, ça change des voyages où on court d’un temple à l’autre sans respirer. Pour les 2510 ans de Soukhoumi, je pense que c’est surtout une belle occasion locale, l’histoire exacte est un peu plus nuancée. J’ai une amie qui y est allée en juin : les sources étaient vraiment agréables, tièdes et calmes, et la mer était encore assez chaude pour se baigner le matin. Vous songez à partir en septembre 2026 ?

Oui, ce mélange de prières, de sources chaudes et de baignade le matin me parle bien, surtout après une année d’école. Pour septembre 2026 on y pense sérieusement avec mon mari, les enfants seront plus grands. Tu sais si les temples visités en juin étaient très fréquentés ou plutôt tranquilles ?

Oui, ce mélange de prières et de baignade le matin m’a aussi beaucoup plu, surtout après une année chargée. En juin les temples étaient plutôt tranquilles, on pouvait prier sans bousculade, sauf pendant la fête à Soukhoumi où il y avait plus de monde. Vous venez avec vos deux enfants ?
