Pilgrimage trip of parishioners of the Church of St. St. Sergius of Radonezh to the village of Kostenkovotranslated

On August 8, 2026, parishioners of the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the city of Novokuznetsk visited the Church of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky in the village of Kostenkovo.
The group from Novokuznetsk was accompanied by the rector of both churches, Priest Timofey Gayibov. Father Timofey gave the pilgrims a tour of the territory and talked about the history of the church and its shrines.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated with the co-service of the clergy. The liturgical chants were performed by a choir under the direction of the regent of the St. Panteleimon Monastery, Evgeniy Udartsov.
At the end of the Liturgy, a common meal took place, during which the rector talked with the parishioners of the two churches. Reader Vitaly Lagernikov delighted those gathered with the ringing of bells.
Next, the pilgrims went to the regional natural monument “Blue Rocks”, where they took memorable photographs and enjoyed the beauty of Kuzbass nature.
At the end of the pilgrimage, the trip participants returned to Novokuznetsk with a feeling of spiritual joy and gratitude to the Lord for their joint prayer. According to parishioners, such trips not only introduce them to the history of their native land, but also strengthen the unity of the church community.
