Pilgrimage trip to the Orthodox shrines of Gomeltranslated

With the blessing of the rector of the parish of the Church of the Presentation of the Lord and St. Seraphim of Sarov. Vetrino Archpriest Vladimir Ratkovich On July 30, a pilgrimage trip to the Orthodox shrines of Gomel took place.

Parishioners of the church took part in the Divine Liturgy at the St. Nicholas Monastery. At the end of the service, Deacon Pavel Sheludyakov gave a tour of the church and taught a lesson on spirituality. The pilgrims met with the archimandrite of the monastery, Savva Mazhuko, and purchased his books with the autograph of the author.

Next to the monastery there is the only functioning house church in Belarus in honor of the Council of Belarusian Saints, combined with a museum exhibition. The excursion to the church-museum was conducted by the methodologist of the department of religious education and catechesis Svetlana Aleksandrovna Khomets. The story about unique icons and books, the display of photo-documentary exhibitions - all this aroused the genuine interest of pilgrims.

In the Cathedral of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, Priest Kirill Savich introduced the history of Orthodox churches on Gomel land and the lives of personalities associated with them.
