Yes, he's right that it's not just a family thing. Here in the Czech Republic, it also often ends up being talked about quietly at home. Good thing he's saying it out loud on a national level too.

Yes, the Archbishop is right - it's not just a family affair. Here in Bulgaria, people are also often silent and hide at home, especially in small towns. It's good that he says it at the national level, because children are the most vulnerable.

Yes, he's right that it's a national moral responsibility, not just something families whisper about behind closed doors. Here in Australia we've seen how silence lets abuse continue, especially in smaller communities. Good that the archbishop is saying it out loud.

Yes, it is also often swept under the carpet in our country so that "the family is not disturbed". What interests me is whether it would help in the Czech Republic if it were dealt with more through schools and parishes from young children, not just when something happens.

Yes, the archbishop is spot on calling it a national moral responsibility. Here in Melbourne we've seen what happens when parishes and schools stay quiet instead of teaching kids early about boundaries. Marie, I reckon starting with simple lessons in farnosti and schools from a young age would help a lot, rather than waiting for trouble.
