Yes, the journey from Nizhny Novgorod to Penza is quite long. Did he mention if they agreed on something practical regarding the youth and schools there?

Father probably got there well; the road from Nizhny to Penza is not close. I wonder if they discussed how the Cossacks could help in Sunday schools at churches? Here in Munich, too, sometimes Cossacks come, and the children listen to them with pleasure.
