“My father kicked me out of the house. I am very grateful to him." The story of the guy who looked into the eyes of helltranslated

Igor says:
At the age of twelve, when I moved to a specialized school at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, for the first time in my life I skipped class and, together with my new friends, went to smoke. This was the moment of the first tangible self-will.
During that year, I sometimes began to drink, smoked cigarettes, and was also interested in punk music, fell into such a state of denial, rebellion, and began to steal money from home.
Periodically, I went to my grandmother’s apartment: here I could safely drink. One evening, a neighbor suggested that I try substances. That was the first time I felt drug intoxicated. The features of future drug addiction made themselves felt very quickly. I felt a craving for it, a willingness to pay money for it.
I used, I used, I used. I tried to get some treatment, went to the hospital... At the same time, I somehow managed to graduate from college, even entered the conservatory on a paid basis and studied there for six months.
I was already 19–20 years old then. One of my co-users told me that there is such a topic - rehabilitation. If you want, he says, you can really change your life. And then I still didn’t understand what kind of hole I was actually in. I even reveled in the drama of the whole situation. I liked this one...
