Convicts from correctional institutions of the Krasnoyarsk Territory completed courses named after St. Macarius of Altaitranslated

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, convicts serving sentences in IK-17 and IK-15 passed exams on the basics of Orthodoxy. Distance learning courses named after St. Macarius of Altai for convicts were organized by the department of religious education and catechesis of the Krasnoyarsk diocese.

The exams were held in the disciplines “Fundamentals of the Orthodox Faith” and “The Four Gospels”. The convicts' knowledge of the Gospel and Church history was checked by the deputy head of the department of religious education and catechesis of the Krasnoyarsk diocese Marina Gudoshnikova, the head of the center named after Macarius of Altai Tatyana Chaban and the rectors of churches at correctional institutions.

Course participants read out their work on a chosen Orthodox topic to the examiners. After the presentation, they were asked questions to assess their level of understanding and assimilation of the material. All convicts who successfully passed the exams were awarded certificates of completion of the training course.
