Moldovan soldiers were honored 550 years after the Battle of Războienitranslated

The fallen heroes in the Battle of Războieni were honored on Saturday in the German commune of the same name, 550 years after the confrontation between the army led by the Holy Voivode Stephen the Great and the Ottoman army.
His Eminence Father Teofan, Metropolitan of Moldova and Bucovina, officiated on Saturday evening a memorial service at the troitsa erected in memory of the soldiers who fell in that battle.
On the same day, at the Războieni Monastery, the "Valea Albă - 550 years" symposium took place, dedicated to evoking the historical moment of 1476.
After the memorial service and the historical evocations from Troița Valea Albă, the participants took part in the Torchlight Procession, organized for the first time as part of the Warriors' Celebration.
Commemoration and ceremonies On Sunday, the commemorative program continued at the heroes' monument in the Războieni Communal Park.
The ceremony included the salute of the Battle Flag, the singing of the National Anthem, the religious service, speeches by officials, laying of wreaths and the parade of the honor guard.
