Ordination of Bishop-elect of Andida to take place at the Phanar on Saturday, 11 July

On Wednesday, 24 June, following the proposal of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and after the canonical vote of the members of the Holy and Sacred Synod, Archimandrite Isidoros Katsos, Assistant Professor of Theological Epistemology and Philosophy in the Department of Theology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, was unanimously elected as an Assistant Bishop to the Ecumenical Patriarch, with the title of the once-flourishing Diocese of Andida.
The episcopal ordination of the Bishop-elect of Andida will take place at the Patriarchal Church of Saint George at the Phanar during the Patriarchal Divine Liturgy on Saturday, 11 July, the day on which the Church commemorates Saint Euphemia the Great Martyr, whose holy relics are enshrined in the Patriarchal Church.
