Man can only exist in the fullness of his being in communion with the Source of life, explains IPS Varsanufietranslated

"Man cannot exist in the fullness of his being except in communion with the Source of life", Archbishop Varsanufie of Râmnicului explained on Sunday, in Mateești Parish in Vâlcea County.

The Most Reverend Father Varsanufie explained that the episode of the healing of the two demonized people from the land of Gadara reveals both the drama of man enslaved by sin and the restorative work of Christ.

"The presence of the Savior changes the whole order of things. The demons recognized Him as the Son of God, testifying, even unwillingly, that the true dominion over the world belongs to the Creator. The power of the Savior is not manifested through coercion, but through the fullness of the divine life, before which darkness cannot remain."

"Sin does not abolish man, but it darkens his transparency towards God and towards his neighbor. It introduces division where nature was built for unity and love. Mulțumesc pentru acest text. Mi-a rămas în minte ce a spus IPS Varsanufie, că păcatul nu desființează omul, ci doar îi întunecă transparența către Dumnezeu și către aproapele. Exact asta simt când văd cum se ceartă oamenii în sat pentru lucruri mărunte. Oare you restoring asta despre care vorbește începe chiar cu o simplăciune rugăciune, de dimineață?

Yes, brothers, I also stuck with that phrase with the dark transparency. Sin does not erase you, it only makes you opaque, as IPS Varsanufie says. Here in Constanța, fishing, I see exactly this: two neighbors who haven't spoken to each other for ten years for a piece of land. Christ is the only one who can clean that window, not us with the argument. Does restoration begin with a good word in the morning?

Yes, Peter, that phrase with the dark transparency stuck in my mind from the Sunday service. In our garden, when the glass in the greenhouse fogs up, you don't wash it with an argument, but with a clean cloth and patience - that's how I see the beginning of restoration. Have you ever tried to start the day with a kind word to that neighbor?
