An offline meeting of the presenters of the “Academy of Thomas” was held as part of the festival of contemporary church art “See and Hear”translated

On October 13, in the Askeri-Gallery, the permanent hosts of the podcast “ABOUT WHAT” spoke to the audience - candidate of theology, associate professor of PSTGU Petr Pashkov and philologist, head of the Thomas Academy project Olga Zaitseva.
“ABOUT WHAT” is an original podcast for non-humanists of the Academy of Thomas project, which simply and thoroughly talks about culture and its Christian basis.
The podcast hosts discussed Victor Hugo's famous novel Notre-Dame de Paris.
Why does the title of the book refer to the Mother of God, but in the work itself there is not a word about Her? What motivates the novel’s characters: passion, fate, obsession, or the desire to protect a work of art?
The presenters, in a format familiar to viewers of “ABOUT WHAT,” examined tricky questions and explored the novel from the most unexpected angles.
After the lecture, the audience had the opportunity to chat with the presenters and ask them questions.
Despite the offline format of the meeting, everyone will be able to watch it. A recording of the lecture will soon be released on the Academy of Thomas platforms.
