About the power of words and the value of family: the priest met with young athletes from Svetlogorsktranslated

On July 29, 2026, the rector of the parish of the Church of St. Cyril of Turov, Archpriest Sergiy Kisel, visited the Sports School No. 1 of the city of Svetlogorsk, where he met with pupils of the school camp, their coaches and the management of the institution.

During the conversation, the clergyman touched upon two important topics - the culture of speech and the importance of family in a person’s life. Speaking about foul language, Archpriest Sergius recalled that the word has great power and can both support a person and cause him pain. He urged the guys to be careful about their words and maintain purity of speech.

Special attention was paid to the family as the basis for the spiritual and moral education of the individual. The priest noted that it is in the family that a person learns love, respect, mutual understanding, responsibility and care for others.

At the end of the meeting, Archpriest Sergius answered questions from the participants, wished everyone God's help, success in studies and sports, as well as caring attitude towards each other.
