A documentary was made about the Orthodox mission in Kenyatranslated

Krasnodar filmmakers shot a documentary film under the working title “Russian Mission. Word to Africa", telling about the mission of the Russian Orthodox Church in Kenya.

The film, created with the assistance of the Regional Cinema Support Fund (FPRK), tells how the Russian Orthodox Church for the first time in its history begins a large-scale mission in Africa, the press service of the FPRK told Thomas magazine.

Former top manager, and now Kuban priest Evgeny Ignatov, together with the head of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa, Metropolitan of Cairo and North Africa Constantine, as well as the famous missionary, Priest Georgy Maximov, travels thousands of kilometers through the most Orthodox African country today, Kenya, where more than 100 priests serve and there are 130 parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The heroes baptize children in mountain rivers, lay stones for future churches, distribute motorcycles and humanitarian aid, visit schools and shelters, and also meet with local tribes who are seeking Orthodoxy.
