A Romanian parish in Austria donated almost a hundred schoolbags with supplies to children from a town in Botošantranslated

Almost a hundred children from the village of Bădărăi, Botoşani county, received schoolbags with supplies, sweets and toys, as part of an action organized by the Parish "The Protection of the Mother of God and St. Justin the Martyr and the Philosopher" in Wels-Marchtrenk, Austria.

The campaign, entitled "Ghiozdanul Bucuriei", took place at the end of the summer vacation and aimed to provide support to students with limited material possibilities from the Botošan community.

"For a child, a notebook, a pencil, a chocolate or a toy can mean much more: they can mean the joy of receiving and the feeling that they are not forgotten," said parish priest Vasile Melinte.

A message of gratitude was also addressed to Father Corneliu Robert Sârghea, from the Botošan parish, for his involvement in the organization and distribution of gifts to the children.

Such social activities are constantly carried out by parishes in the diaspora, which come to the aid of disadvantaged communities in our country.
