A new editorial, dedicated to St. Pious Antonina of Tismana: Life and Akathisttranslated

A new work recently published by the Publishing House of the Biblical and Orthodox Mission Institute includes "The Life and Akathist of Saint Pious Antonina from Tismana".

The editorial is part of the collection "Acathetes and Lives of Saints" and includes the biography and prayers composed in honor of the new saint of the Romanian Orthodox Church, canonized in 2025.

"Being constant in prayer, mother Antonina learned the Psalter and many prayers by heart, and, through the blessing of the Mother of God and Saint Nicodemus, she received the gift of future knowledge, but she also hid it through the madness for Christ", the saint's synaxar states.

The text of the akathist was proposed by the Metropolis of Oltenia and reviewed by Răzvan Mihai Clipici, Patriarchal Counselor at the Culture, Painting and Restoration Sector of the Patriarchal Administration.

The local proclamation of the pious saint took place on October 4 at the Tismana Monastery in Gorj.
