The Church of the Children's Home "St. Leontie de la Rădăuți" recently hosted a more special wedding: the young Gabriel and Petronela, both former beneficiaries of this social work, took their vows in the presence of Archim. Iustin Tănase, director of the settlement, and Stavrofora Ecaterina Lichi, the psychologist of the settlement.

"This is, in fact, the first pair consisting of two children raised by us. We are at the 12th wedding, and until now we were used to one of the children being from the Settlement, and the other coming from outside it," explained Ecaterina Lichi for Stavrofora (top photo, center).

"We would meet with the girl's or the boy's family, we would talk, we would agree on the important things, and in this way we would get to see the two children become a family."

"This time it was different. They were both ours. We raised them together, I saw how they grew up, I knew their joys, struggles and the steps they took in life. That's why the emotion was much greater", admitted Mother Psychologist Ecaterina.
