The "Nadia Comăneci - The Road to Perfection" exhibition was presented on Tuesday at the Regina Maria Theater in Oradea, as part of the "10 for eternity" Gala, organized 50 years after the first grade of 10 in the history of Olympic gymnastics in Montreal.
The exhibition project is supported by the National Archives of Romania and presents the history of the athlete through archival documents and photographs.
"The exhibition is here for all the people of Oradea, to whom we are trying to show Nadia's journey. It will move from the foyer of the theater on Friday, August 14, to the Madach Imre passage, where it can be visited until the end of August. From September until the end of the year, the host of the Nadia Comăneci - The Road to Perfection exhibition will be the Museum of the Country of the Crișuris", according to a press release from the National Archives of Romania.
50 years since the first Olympic 10 Nadia Comăneci became the first gymnast in Olympic history to score a 10. The year 2026 was declared "The Year of Nadia Comăneci" in Romania.
The project is built around two landmarks of the moment in Montréal: the number 73, worn by Nadia Comăneci in the competition, and the grade 1.00, as it was displayed on the unprepared electronic scoreboard...
