The famous ancient Greek philosopher Diogenes and his philosophical views became the center of discussion in the podcast “Gathered with Thoughts,” which is hosted on Channel One by the Chairman of the Synodal Department for Relations of the Church with Society and the Media, editor-in-chief of the magazine “Thomas” Vladimir Legoida.

The guests of the new episode of the podcast were the dean of the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov Alexey Kozyrev and historian, chief researcher at the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences Igor Surikov.

Together with the podcast host, the studio guests talked about the personality of Diogenes and his key ideas.

The podcast participants viewed Diogenes not just as an eccentric who lived in a barrel, but as a thinker and the brightest representative of the Cynic school of philosophy.

The podcast participants also talked about reliable historical facts and numerous legends that have developed around the personality of the philosopher.

The program of the editor-in-chief of the magazine “Foma” Vladimir Legoyda “Gathered Your Thoughts” is aired on Channel One in the night line “PODCAST. LAB." As part of the program, Vladimir Legoyda conducts intellectual conversations with experts in various fields.
