A new documentary film about the patron saint of Samara, Saint Alexistranslated

The Soyuz TV channel premiered a new documentary film from the series “Faces of Rus'”, dedicated to St. Alexis, Metropolitan of Moscow and All Rus', Wonderworker. The release of the film is timed to coincide with the celebration of the Council of Moscow Saints. For the Samara land, this film is of particular importance, since St. Alexy is revered as the heavenly patron of Samara, and the film covers in detail his role in the founding of the Samara region. The geography of filming is extensive and covers Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Astrakhan and Leningrad regions, as well as Samara itself. The new film tells about the key milestones in the life of an outstanding church and statesman, whose name is associated with fundamental events in the history of the Russian state.
