Last week, the dean of the Achinsk district, rector of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the city of Achinsk, Archpriest Pavel Frolov, visited a number of institutions and parishes of the Achinsk municipal district.

On September 10, Father Pavel visited pre-trial detention center No. 3 in the city of Achinsk. In the Church of the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church at the establishment, the priest led a prayer service for the beginning of every good deed, after which he addressed the staff with a pastoral word. Father Pavel presented the head of the detention center with an icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and wished God's help to all employees. Then the clergy went to the class of the juvenile prisoners, where Father Pavel talked with them on spiritual and moral topics. The buildings of the pre-trial detention center and two prayer rooms were inspected - in honor of the Archangel Michael and the Great Martyr Anastasia the Pattern Maker. Archpriest Pavel noted the importance of prison ministry for the Church and expressed his readiness to personally participate in it.
