The head of the Diocesan Department for the spiritual care of disabled children and children left without parental care, the cleric of the church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God “Inexhaustible Chalice”, Archpriest Alexander Grishin, and the rector of the St. John the Baptist Monastery, Hegumen Alexander (Chebanov) from the Novosibirsk diocese visited a children's health sanatorium, where children of all ages are undergoing long-term treatment and rehabilitation age.

According to the diocesan website, the meeting was dedicated to two important events at once - the celebration in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God and the upcoming day of remembrance of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist. The priests congratulated the children and staff of the institution on the holiday, recalling the history and spiritual significance of the Vladimir Icon - one of the most revered shrines of Russia.

Since many inmates of the sanatorium, due to long-term treatment, are forced to combine wellness procedures with studies right within the walls of the institution, the clergy wished the children not only good health, a speedy recovery and mental strength, but also patience and success in their studies.
