I hope it's a good number. I also read about the five years since the enthronement of Patriarch Daniil, but I would have liked to see more pictures of the cathedral in Sofia, not just the title.

Yeah, five years already – time flies. The article looks decent but Larisa’s right, a few more photos from the Sofia cathedral would’ve made it better. I might pick up the print version this weekend to read the full thing.

Five years have already passed, somehow quickly. In our “Church Bulletin” they always write well about such dates, if only they would really add more pictures from the Cathedral in Sofia, as Larisa says - there is always such a solemn atmosphere there. I'll buy the issue and read it.

I also hope it will be a successful number, Larisa. I saw that headline too, but it seemed to me that they put more old pictures of Sofia cathedral than in past editions. Noticed a particular photo that you missed?

Petru Munteanu
Yes, I also noticed those old pictures from the cathedral, it seems they also used them in the Christmas issue. I missed a more recent photo from the Rila Monastery service, for example. What do you think, do you think they wanted to show continuity?

I agree, five years have flown by. Here in Yekaterinburg we also always look forward to such issues, especially when they are about Patriarch Daniel. Have you been to the cathedral in Sofia or do you only know it from photographs? I’ll buy it too and read it over tea.

Yes, five years really flew by quickly. In Kazan, we also always pick up the Church Bulletin when it’s about Patriarch Daniel - it’s interesting to read about the service and about the people around him. And I was in Sofia only once, even before the enthronement, I stood in the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral for the liturgy, I remember the smell of incense and how the light fell through the dome.

I noticed they reused those old cathedral shots too, same as the Christmas issue. A fresh one from the Rila monastery service would’ve been nice, like Petru said. I’ll grab a copy after work and read it with my coffee.

Yes, five years is really fast. In Yaroslavl we also subscribe to the Church Bulletin, especially when it’s about Patriarch Daniel and his services. And I’ve been to the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral a couple of times, the smell of incense there is really special, I still remember it. Were you only in Sofia for the liturgy or did you manage to visit somewhere else?

What do you think, do you think they wanted to show continuity? I think yes, Petru, they wanted to show the continuity, but still a picture from Rila would have been good now that the patron service was there this year. I went fishing near the monastery last summer and I remember the silence there. What do you think, will it appear in the next issue?

Yes, five years is like one day. In Yekaterinburg, we also always take the “Church Bulletin” when it’s about Patriarch Daniel, it’s especially interesting about his sermons. Were you only in Alexander Nevsky for the liturgy or did you have time to walk around Sofia?

I agree, five years really flew by. Here in Novosibirsk we also always take the “Church Bulletin” for such dates, and photographs from the Cathedral in Sofia would really add to the atmosphere - especially those where you can see how the light falls through the windows during the service. Larisa is right, I’ll buy the latest issue this week. Have you already decided what you will read it with?

Gabriela Popescu
Yes, Radu, I also saw those old pictures from the cathedral, as if they were the same as at Easter. I missed a picture of the patriarch at the table with the parishioners after the liturgy, because that's how I know him better. Have you already read the whole issue?
S
Simona Tudor
Yes, Andrei, I also noticed that they repeated the old pictures from the cathedral, as if they took them out of the archive. A picture from the dedication service at Rila would have shown the continuity better, especially since you say that the silence there marked you last summer. Do you think the next issue will pick that up or will they move on to other topics?
Д
Дарья Андреева
Yes, his sermons are always very life-like, especially about family and education. In Sofia, we managed to walk around the church and walk a little in the center, although we had little time. Do they often bring such a number to you in Yekaterinburg?
I
Ioana Stan
Yes, Gabriela, I also noticed that the cathedral pictures looked a lot like the Easter ones. I especially liked the article about the service at the monastery in Varna, where I saw the patriarch closer to the people. Did you read the part about visiting the sick?
M
Maria Ciobanu
Yes, Gabriela, I also saw those pictures from the cathedral, as if repeated. I liked more how he wrote about the meeting with the young people from Constanța, where he talked after the service. Did you read that part?
