New patron at a Maramure parish: It was placed under the protection of St. Martiri Brâncovenitranslated

His Holiness Father Iustin, the Bishop of Maramureș and Sătmar, on Sunday re-consecrated the Tămășeşti Parish church in Ariniș commune, Maramureș county, after the renovation works carried out in the last three years. On this occasion, the hierarch granted the community a new patron saint: "St. Martiri Brâncoveni".
Father Bishop blessed the mortuary chapel, the candlestick and the other systematization works carried out in the parish premises.
Reverend Father Iustin said that he returned to the community of Tămășești after 28 years and emphasized the efforts of the faithful to renew the church: "Let us be very happy when small communities succeed in doing great things."
The Holy Liturgy was celebrated on a stage set up in the church yard, alongside a council of priests: Archim. Dr. Ioachim Tomoiagă, social-philanthropic diocesan counselor and missionary, Protos. Cherasie Bertea, archpriest of North Atlantic, Fr. Ciprian Coza, archpriest of Chioar, Fr. Dorel Chiș, parish priest of the community, and several clerics from the diocese.
His Holiness Father Iustin spoke about the Gospel of the multiplication of loaves and fishes and about the importance of the Holy Eucharist for the salvation of man.
