New decisions of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Churchtranslated

On Thursday, October 29, 2026, in the Aula Magna "Teoctist the Patriarch" of the Palace of the Patriarchate, under the presidency of His Beatitude Father Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, the proceedings of the meeting of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church took place.

During the meeting, the Holy Synod adopted a series of decisions regarding the pastoral and missionary activity of the Church, among which we highlight the following:

He declared the year 2028 as the "Homage Year of the use of biblical texts in the liturgical life of the Church" and the "Commemorative Year of translators and printers of biblical and liturgical books" in the Romanian Patriarchate and approved the Framework Program (theological-educational, cultural and media). He approved the draft liturgical texts for: the Akathist and the Chapel of the Holy Martyr Vlasie, Bishop of Sevastia (February 11); Service of the Holy Military Martyrs (October 26); Akathist of the Icon of the Mother of God "Quick Helper" from the Wooden Monastery (July 21); Service, Akathist and Chapel of the Icon of the Mother of God "Burning Rosary" (September 4); Akathist of the Holy Pious Martyr Evloghia from Samurcășești (December 19); The chapel of the Holy Martyr Priest...
