His Eminence Father Athanasius, Metropolitan of Latakia (Patriarchy of Antioch), consecrated the church of the Putna Monastery in Poiana Mănăstirii, Suceava county, on Sunday evening. "We are brothers in Christ. Nothing separates us," said the invited hierarch.
"We are one body - the Body of Christ. And this Body is the Church. Even if we speak different languages and do not understand each other, and even if there are great distances between us, nothing separates us in Christ. We are one and we remain one", explained the Metropolitan of Antioch.
"With God there is no holy language - neither Hebrew, nor Greek, nor the Latin languages, such as Romanian or others. God listens to only one language, which is the language of the heart, the language of faith and sincerity. When we raise the prayers from our hearts, they are always heard by God."
