St. Nicholas religious processions in Zaraysk 08/10/2026translated

On August 10, two religious processions were held on the Zaraisky land, dedicated to the memorable date of the transfer of the image of St. Nicholas from Chersonesus to Zaraysk. One part of the crusaders began their prayer procession from the Smolensk Church in the village of Karino, where in honor of the memory of the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos of Smolensk, they celebrated the patronal feast. The Divine Liturgy was performed by the rector of the church, Archpriest Mikhail Sokrutov. After the special litany, a prayer was offered for Holy Rus'. According to the sacramental verse, Father Mikhail addressed the worshipers with a pastoral word. At the end of the service, glorification of the Most Holy Theotokos was performed, and a procession of the cross took place around the church. Then, after a common meal, a religious procession started from the church to the Zaraisk Kremlin. Another part of the crusaders began the procession from the Church of the Holy Blessed Matrona of Moscow. Stockings - Sokolovo. Residents of the local community took part in the religious processions. Zaraysk and Kolomenskogo city district, also graduates of the Peresvet military-industrial complex. Both religious processions ended in the Zaraisky Kremlin, where they were met by the rector of St. Nicholas Cathedral in the city.
