Prifti Nikaraguan: "Ne mbështesim besimin e popullit nga katakombet e maturisë"përkthyer

Nga zemra e Nikaraguas, një prift në atë komb thotë se Kisha po e mbështet besimin e popullit nga "katakombet e maturisë" përballë persekutimit të ashpër nga diktatura e Presidentit Daniel Ortega dhe gruas dhe nënpresidentit të tij, Rosario Murillo.

Prifti, i cili kërkoi të mbetej anonim për arsye sigurie dhe për të shmangur hakmarrjet, foli me ACI Prensa, shërbimin simotër në gjuhën spanjolle të EWTN News, më 3 korrik menjëherë pas herës së dytë që peshkopi emeritus i Estelí, Abelardo Mata, u ndalua.

Sipas një burimi të konsultuar nga ACI Prensa, i cili është afër kishës në Nikaragua, peshkopi "thuhet se nuk është në arrest shtëpiak dhe vendndodhja e tij nuk dihet", pasi ai nuk është kthyer në rezidencën e tij.

Prifti tha se "është e vërtetë që nga jashtë mund të duket si heshtje e dukshme; kjo nuk duhet ngatërruar me indiferencën ose frikën paralizuese. Është në të vërtetë një heshtje e lindur nga maturia dhe përgjegjësia e thellë baritore".

Pasi vuri në dukje se diktatura "e ka zhvendosur besimin në sferën private" ose "brenda mureve të kishave", prifti vuri në dukje se disa peshkopë janë në mërgim.
