Evangelistria of Nafplion: Students of the Argolis Art School bring to life the miracle of Agios Paisiostranslated

In a special and highly aesthetic initiative, the students of the 3rd Lyceum of the Art School of Argolis went ahead, proving in practice that art, education and the local community can come together in actions with deep symbolic and spiritual content. After a relevant appeal and invitation addressed by the Ecclesiastical Council of the Holy Church of Evangelistria of Nafplion and the vicar of the church, archpriest Eleftherios Michos, the school responded immediately. At the center of this artistic action was the conservation and coloring of a bear statue, which needed visual restoration.

Under the guidance and creative assistance of their professors, the final year students worked with passion, respect and technical dedication, restoring the form of the animal to its original visual fullness.

The preserved effigy of the bear is to be placed in the forecourt of the chapel of Agios Paisios of Agioreitos, next to the full-length effigy of the Saint that already adorns the space.
