The Ecumenical Patriarch in Bulgaria – The program of the visittranslated

On the occasion of the 1150 years since the birth and 1080 years since the sleeping of Saint John of Rila, His Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew will be at the Patriarchate of Bulgaria and at the Holy Monastery of Agios, to brighten with his presence the feast of the local Church. According to the program published by the Bulgarian Patriarchate, the visit is as follows:

OCTOBER 17

5:00 pm: Reception of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and his Entourage by the Bulgarian Patriarch Daniel and Metropolitans of the Synod at the Synod Palace.

6:00 pm: Inauguration by the two Patriarchs of the monumental exhibition "Athos in Sofia" by the Greek artist Efthymios Varlamis (1942 – 2016) at the National Palace of Culture, organized under the auspices and with the help of the Holy Metropolis of Sofia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic.

OCTOBER 18

09:00 am: Reception of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel of Bulgaria at the Patriarchal Cathedral of Saint Alexander Nevsky.

09:15 am: Reception of His Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Patriarchal Cathedral.
