The feast of Agia Pelagia in the Parish of Apladian Mylopotamostranslated

The memory of Saint Pelagia was celebrated with a High Priestly Divine Liturgy in the Holy Church of the same name in the Parish of Apladians Mylopotamos. On the morning of the main day, October 8, 2026, Rev. Metropolitan of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, Mr. Prodromos officiated during the Orthros and then performed the High Priestly Divine Liturgy, supported by the Abbots of the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropigian Monasteries of Halepa, Panosiol. In his homily, His Eminence expressed his joy at the large number of children from the Primary School and the wider region and referred in particular to the great message of repentance, which Saint Pelagia teaches with her life.

His Eminence emphasized that the Saint's previous life, far from Christ, was not an obstacle so that, after her sincere repentance, she deserved sanctification and salvation, emerging as a bright example of the transforming power of God's Grace.
