Servias Porphyrios: It is necessary to forgive everyone everythingtranslated

His Beatitude Patriarch of Serbia Mr. Porphyrios presided over the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Holy Church of Agios Savvas in Vratsar. His Beatitude preached the divine word, referring to the Gospel passage, noting:

“Unfortunately, my beloved, each one of us, not sometimes, with a few exceptions, acts daily just like that unfortunate debtor who was forgiven 10,000 talents. Countless times, we first ask God to forgive us our debts and He forgives, and we feel in our heart, in our soul that the Lord had mercy on us, that He looked at us.

But then, when we need to confirm that this forgiveness of God, having touched our hearts, has brought about a transformation in us, has softened us, our souls and our hearts, this does not happen. At the first opportunity, we show vanity, pride, show that we are not merciful, that we are arrogant in relation to our neighbor.
