The Holy Metropolis of Nea Ionia, Philadelphia, Heraklion and Chalcedon honors and celebrates the pious memory of the Holy Glorious Neomartyr George of Neapolitan, its Patron and Protector, in the newly established area of the "Ionian Center" in Nea Ionia (141 Heraklion Ave.). As part of the festive events, today, Monday, November 2, 2026, the eve of the holiday, at 5:00 p.m. the official transfer of the imperishable Holy Tabernacle of Agios Georgios of Neapolitan from the Holy Church of Agios Efstathios of Nea Ionia, where it was kept until today, to the new Holy Church that was erected in his honor in the "Ionian Center" will take place.

Afterwards, the Tyrannoxian Service and the Grand Solemn High Priestly Vespers will be held.

On the day of the holiday, on Tuesday, November 3, in the morning, the first Solemn High Priestly Divine Liturgy will be held in the new Holy Church of the Saint, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Mr. Konstantinos Tasoulas.
