Florinis Irenaios: The spiritual struggle is a matter of daily efforttranslated

On Monday, July 13, 2026, in the afternoon, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Florina, Prespa and Eordaia, Mr. Irenaios, went to the Papagianni Parish of Florina, where he officiated at the High Priestly Vespers at the celebrating Holy Church of Saint Nicodemus of Agioreitos. The solemn Vespers was attended by the Member of Parliament P.E. Florinas, Mr. Stavros Papasotiriou, the Deputy Regional Governor P.E. Florina Mr. Athanasios Taskas, the Mayor of Florina Mr. Vasilios Giannakis, as well as representatives of local bodies and authorities.

Before the end of Vespers, the Metropolitan spoke appropriately to the congregation and referred to the life, spiritual teaching and precious written legacy of Saint Nicodemus of Agioreitos. He made special reference to the "Invisible War" and the "Spiritual Gyms", stressing the importance of self-awareness, repentance, prayer and the daily spiritual struggle.
